RECAP: SDS ALUMNI SOCIAL AT ARMORED COW BREWING

The School of Data Science at UNC Charlotte hosted an alumni gathering at Armored Cow Brewing on Friday, September 29, 2023. Over 100 former and current students made an appearance, showing how close the data science community remains even after graduation.

The atmosphere buzzed with conversations on various topics; the relaxed environment made it easy for everyone to share ideas and feel like part of a big, friendly family. A special guest was Chase Romano, an alumnus who now teaches visual analytics at UNC Charlotte.

The evening highlighted the achievements of some outstanding School of Data Science alumni, including Lenka Raslova, Khalil Khouy, and Juan Ricardo, who have made significant strides in the field.

Throughout the night, laughter filled the room as attendees reminisced and caught up with one another. The event showcased the collective experiences and aspirations of the UNC Charlotte Data Science community.

The positive reception has sparked discussions about possibly organizing a similar event next year. Thank you to the School of Data Science and SDS student government council for making this happen!
