Biography: Dr. Michael Thompson is an Associate Professor of Health Management and Policy. He recently served as Interim Chair of the Department of Health Management and Policy. Previously he served as Associate Chair of the Department of Public Health Sciences and directed UNC Charlotte’s CAHME-accredited and nationally ranked MHA Program, UNC Charlotte’s CEPH-accredited MPH program, and the graduate programs in Health Informatics and Analytics. He has over 20 years of experience in actively developing, leading and seeing accredited public health and health administration programs domestically and internationally.
