Moises Castro

Moises Castro is a Director of Software Engineering at Microsoft and serves as the Engineering Site Leader for the Microsoft Charlotte Engineering Hub. He leads teams in Microsoft’s CoreAI organization focused on developer tools for cloud development, application modernization, and agentic AI solutions. His work helps builders modernize applications, improve productivity, and accelerate software delivery through AI-powered automation, agentic workflows, and data-informed decision making.

As Charlotte Engineering Site Leader, Moises helps shape a thriving and connected engineering community by driving initiatives that strengthen employee experience, increase cross-team collaboration, and build a diverse pipeline of future engineering talent through local partnerships and outreach. Moises also serves as the executive sponsor for Microsoft’s local Hispanic and Latino employee resource group, where he actively supports community, representation, and career growth. In addition, he is a member of the UNC Charlotte School of Data Science Industry Advisory Board, helping bridge industry and academia to prepare the next generation of data and engineering talent.
