UNC Charlotte’s School of Data Science creates education, training, and research programs in data science and analytics integrated with a variety of business and industry expertise. These interdisciplinary academic programs are developing new generations of data scientists, business analysts, and managers with both the technical and business skills to transform data info knowledge and insights; driving smart, innovative solutions across social, economic, and business applications.

Faculty
The School of Data Science pulls faculty from the best of four academic units at UNC Charlotte, including the College of Computing and Informatics, the Belk College of Business, the College of Health and Human Services, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, as well as industry thought leaders. These faculty members allow the School to offer the most current and forward-thinking research and category expertise to our students.

Student Engagement
The School of Data Science Student Organization (SDS SO) serves the purpose of organizing programs, events, and meetings for current students of SDS academic programs Data Science and Business Analytics (DSBA) and Health Informatics and Analytics (HIAN). This organization creates opportunities to network with colleagues, professionals, and alumni. The aim is to share, discuss and collaborate on various ideas and advance both academically and professionally in the analytics domain.
