Biography:
Dr. Minwoo Lee is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he also co-directs the Charlotte Machine Learning Lab (CharmLab). He is a member of the Center for AI4Health and a cofounder of the Center for TAIMing AI.
Dr. Lee’s research centers on machine learning, with a particular emphasis on reinforcement learning. His work spans a range of topics, including interpretability, transfer learning, sparse learning, multi-agent systems, fine-grained policy control, and robust knowledge augmentation. Currently, his research focuses on developing machine learning algorithms for reinforcement learning, with recent efforts aimed at analyzing learning behavior through sparse Bayesian learning.
