Misha is a Founding Member of the School of Data Science and has served on the Industry Advisory Board since January 2015. He holds a Master’s Degree in Statistics from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from San Francisco State University.
He is the Founder and CEO of IDiyas, a premier global platform for inventor analytics, providing data-driven insights so comprehensive that they serve as a primary reference for Wikipedia’s inventor and patent statistics. With 100 issued U.S. utility patents and over 100 pending globally, his career is defined by high-velocity innovation. He has been repeatedly honored for his contributions to the industry, including being inducted into Wells Fargo’s Inventor Hall of Fame in 2023, receiving the Tesla Award in 2022, and being named Invention of the Year in 2020. At Mastercard, he developed “Retail Location Insights,” which was voted the most innovative product globally by employees in 2014, and at Bank of America, he was named Inventor of the Year in 2008.
