Shane Williams (Chair)

Professionally, Shane has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years, taking on various senior roles in U.S. and foreign banks as well as global consulting firms. Shane spent time as an Auction Rate Agent at Bankers Trust, Client Services Analyst at Barclays Bank, a Derivatives Risk Manager at Citi, and held several roles at Société Générale, including IT Lending Business Analyst SME and Internal Controller for the U.S. Debt Financing Team. He later served as an expat project manager at Société Générale’s headquarters in Paris, France, and returned to New York as Deputy COO of Americas Operations.

Shane transitioned into consulting, leveraging his banking expertise across multiple firms. He later joined Sia Partners as a Partner in the New York office, where he led the Corporate Banking and Commercial Lending practice, and subsequently relocated to launch the firm’s Charlotte office. During his time at Sia Partners, he also served in leadership roles including Group Chief Client Officer.

Shane is currently with Bridge2Partners, a boutique consulting firm focused on banking and financial services, where he leads the Capital Markets and Commercial Lending practice.

Since moving to Charlotte, Shane has been active in the local fintech ecosystem, partnering with RevTech Labs and serving as a founding member of the UNC Charlotte School of Data Science Industry Advisory Board. Shane holds a BS in Finance from St. John’s University, an MBA from West Virginia University, and a Master’s in International Business from Grenoble Ecole de Management in Grenoble, France.
