Biography: Stephen Rohrer is a distinguished professional with a diverse data science and analytics background across multiple industries. Currently serving as the Head of Marketing Data at Equitable, Stephen specializes in utilizing innovation and data science to bridge the gap between people and data. His expertise is particularly focused on the Banking, Logistics, and Government sectors ranging from SMB clients to Fortune 500. Previously, Stephen held the role of Director of Data Products and Analytics at Yodlee, where he successfully managed a multinational team and provided cutting-edge data analytics solutions to top global financial institutions. Stephen forged key partnerships and facilitated B2B agreements with renowned institutions, including Fortune 100 banks, regional banks, and credit unions. Stephen’s career also includes his tenure as the Head of Data Science at TIAA, where he established and led the organization’s first enterprise AI team. In this role, he supervised the strategic deployment of innovative algorithms and collaborated closely with executive leadership to develop a comprehensive 3-year AI roadmap that drove new partnerships across the firm and led to the organization’s first Data Level-up program. Additionally, Stephen successfully managed analytics across various domains, including Customer Experience and Retention, Sales, and Operations, resulting in significant improvements in asset loss prevention, growth of Wealth Management assets, and adherence to regulatory requirements. Stephen serves as an Adjunct Professor at UNC Charlotte in the School of Data Science, imparting his knowledge and expertise to aspiring data scientists. He holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Analytics from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business from Elizabeth City State University.
