Biography:

Dr. Travis Hales is an emerging social work scholar at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte whose research focuses on building an evidence base for trauma-informed approaches and examining the relationships among organizational conditions, staff well-being, and therapeutic effectiveness. His current research includes systemic responses to overdose prevention and response, including developing surveillance infrastructures to monitor the frequency and impacts of overdoses in Mecklenburg County.
