Karen Joyce

Karen Joyce, PhD is the Founder and Principal of Resonant Scale AI, a consultancy serving healthcare and health technology organizations and putting AI to work across strategy, technology, product, and operations.

Before founding Resonant Scale, Karen served as Chief AI Officer at Surescripts, where she led enterprise-wide AI strategy and execution, bringing together technical expertise, strategic foresight, and collaborative leadership. Prior to that, she spent a decade at Novant Health, most recently as Vice President of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation. There she led a multidisciplinary team spanning AI/ML engineering, software development, product and design, accelerating the deployment of AI solutions across both clinical and operational settings. 

Earlier in her career, Karen worked in the healthtech startup ecosystem, where she honed her expertise at the intersection of healthcare and technology. She holds a BSBE and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
