Maggie Mebane

Maggie Mebane is a Director of Data Science at The Hartford, where she oversees advanced analytics initiatives in the property and casualty insurance sector. With a strong background in geospatial and telemetry data, Maggie offers expertise in applied machine learning and data-driven risk modeling. Throughout her career at The Hartford, she advanced from  Associate Data Scientist to Data Science Manager before being promoted to her current leadership role.

Maggie earned a Master of Science in Data Science and Business Analytics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elon University. She is a dedicated supporter of interdisciplinary problem-solving and continues to contribute to the expanding field of data science through her work and participation in academic and professional communities.
