Analytics Frontiers Conference 2024

On April 16, 2024, UNC Charlotte’s School of Data Science will host the tenth annual Analytics Frontiers Conference at the Charlotte Convention Center. With Truist as the title sponsor, this event is the largest data science conference in the region and expects to attract over 500 thought leaders, scientists, and business executives from various industries and academia. Past attendees and speakers have worked in banking, healthcare, IT, government, retail, sports, education, and more.

SDS is proud to have Dr. Damien Williams as one of the keynote speakers. An Assistant Professor in Data Science and Philosophy at UNC Charlotte, Damien will discuss “Responsibility, Bias, and Fairness, or Equity, Prejudice, and Justice? On the Real Risks and Opportunities of ‘AI'”. Brandeis Marshall will be our other keynote speaker. Attendees should expect to hear her discuss the potential impacts of generative AI for communities and industry, along with possible steps to ensure equitable access to the new technologies and ways to protect privacy over the next five years.

This year’s Analytics Frontiers Conference will feature tracks in Explainable AI, Ethics in AI, The Future of AI, AI Adoption, Natural Language Processing, Industry Case Studies and more. Representatives from companies like Lowe’s, Truist, Sia Partners, Red Ventures, Qintess, the Charlotte Football Club, the Carolina Panthers, Ally, and UNC Charlotte have attended and spoken in breakout sessions over the last nine years.
